The peel of the banana was placed in a bowl. After the children were done chopping, they got to drizzle some chocolate sauce on their preparation to complete their dish and devour it!

Hand-Eye Coordination - Cutting the bananas and drizzling chocolate sauce requires hand-eye coordination on the part of the participant.

Sensory - Cooking is a very elaborate sensory experience. From peeling the banana to eating it with chocolate sauce, children are exposed to varied experiences of touch, smell, taste and vision.

Better Relationship with Food - Preparing food or being involved in the process of cooking adds value to the food that one eats. As children understand how food is to be handled and where the food that they eat comes from, they develop positive feelings and opinions about food.
