Welcome to Day 10 of ‘My Emotions’ at Arth Hours! The Arthlings are wrapping up their work for this project — read on to know what they did in class!

PLANNING AND SETUP

The activity was divided into the following steps:

1. My Facebook: Facebooks made in the previous class were provided for continuation. Trays were arranged with photographs of the children, rectangles of brown card, safety scissors, hole punchers, glue sticks, and ribbons.

2. Emotion Bingo (Situations): A bingo sheet was designed with nine different situation prompts. Copies were made for distribution.

HOW IT HAPPENED

My Facebook: The Arthlings put the finishing touches on their Facebooks! While some caught up on their cutting, sticking, and lacing, others moved on to stickering! The children identified different pages of their books as Happy, Sad, Angry, Excited, or Scared. They then used the corresponding emoji sticker to label the page!

Adrived figures out how to use his scissors!

Taanush and his Facebook.

Emotion Bingo (Situations): The children were presented with a new Bingo sheet! This sheet had pictures corresponding to different situations; there was a lion, a monster, a birthday cake, even a rainy umbrella! The children used their emoji reaction stickers to express how each picture made them feel.

Yuvaan (Mehra) gets ready to stick a ‘Scared’ emoji sticker.

OUTCOME AND FUTURE

In this instalment, the new variant of Emotion Bingo helped highlight how different people experience different situations in vastly different ways! While the first bingo sheet was an assessment tool, this bingo sheet was an opportunity for the children to express their individuality.
