When Arthlings designed clothes for their favourite characters!
Date: March 2nd, 2022 ; Wednesday.

Setup and Objective
The setup for this activity was simple. There were two tables with two facilitators and the children chose their facilitator they wanted to engage with. Each child as per their choice selected their preferred animal. They were also given a pair of scissors and a fevistick. The coloured sheets were kept in the middle so that the children can share and choose from there and cut the coloured sheets in different shapes and sizes to stick them on the printout.
The objective of this activity was to observe and assess their fine motor skills - whether they are able to hold the scissors correctly and cut the sheets. It was also to see whether they are able to follow instructions and are able to focus on this activity and sit at one spot without getting distracted.
How it happened
Every child participated in this activity. They came to the table by themselves and sat at their places and waited for the activity to begin. They were given their printouts, scissors and fevisticks. They chose their coloured sheets and started cutting those in different shapes and sizes. They were very focused and engaged in cutting and pasting. They also interacted with each other, shared their fevisticks and helped their friends in cutting the coloured sheets. Some of the kids were able to hold the scissors correctly and cut the coloured sheets with much ease while some needed some help from the facilitators. Maryam interacted with the facilitator and was very helpful. It was a fun activity for the children. After they finished, they went to Nikita didi to stick their work on the wall and helped in cleanup.
